Dr. Erick is the second child of the late Dr. Rudolfo (Rudy) Baz from Lopez Jaena & the former Letecia (Letty Olegario) from Ozamis City.
They settled in Ibabao first, then Ospital, & finally Palayan.
Erick finished High School from Stella Maris College, Oroquieta City in 1984, College from Silliman U, Dumaguete City in 1988 & Cebu Institute of Medicine (Velez), Cebu City in 1992.
He is the family's third MD - after Dad & Bro. Allan, who is also Aloran's number one Councilor.
A sister followed Mom's footstep, a Pharmacist.
