Reportedly, Jimmy R. Regalado has won the Aloran mayoralty election held on May 14, 2007 defeating his opponent current Vice Mayor Rolando Caga-anan who demonstrated a strong challenge to the Regalados. Jimmy 's nephew & running mate Chuchu Regalado (son of current mayor Narding) and most of his council slate also prevailed. It was judged as a very peaceful and fair election.  However, it was reported that vote buying was rampant like the previous elections. It is expected that incoming mayor Jimmy will lay out his program to improve Aloran and the livelihood of its people.
