Elvie Gonzaga King passed away 

Thursday January 30, 2003 We regret to announce the passing away of Elvie Gonzaga King last night, the 29th of January at her sister's (Ellen G. Dalucanog) home in Tom's River, NJ. She was battling cancer for a number of years now. Please join us in our prayer for the eternal repose of her soul.

Elvie was born and raised in Baranggay Ibabao. She was with the Aloran High School's Graduate Class of 1968. After getting her degree in Commerce, she went to work for The Water District of Ozamis City, where she got married and eventually resided. She has a teen-aged daughter.

Viewing of her body will be on Saturday, the 1st of February, in Tom's River, NJ. She will be flown back home tentatively this coming Tuesday, the 4th of February. 

Nong Amando Batoy suffered a stroke 

Thursday January 30, 2003 Nong Amando Batoy, ang among gitahod nga Amahan sa mga Aloranon sa East Coast - USA, suffered a stroke the week of the 19th of January. He's still in the hospital as of reporting time. Please join us in our prayer for his complete and rapid recovery. Nong Amando lives in Springfield, Virginia with his only son, Nasser & family. Nasser & Cathy (originally from Pampanga) have Allison, their only child.

 

Christmas Week Auto Accident 

Wednesday January 8, 2003. Three Aloranons from suburban LA, California were driving their way up to Washington state to visit and spend Christmas with relatives when their car was hit head on by another car who crossed into their lane somewhere in Oregon. The three were identified as Eng-eng Mutia, Quio Mutia, and a certain Bodong. They all suffered injuries and were hospitalized in Oregon. They were discharged from the hospital a few days ago. 

Fatal Shooting in Baranggay Ospital 

Saturday January 4, 2003. A fatal shooting incident occured in Baranggay Ospital a couple of days ago, according to our source whose name is withheld pending details of the said incident.

The victim is Berling Undag Tejano of Ibabao.
